ImageAnthony John Clarke joined us for our regular singaround on 5 December 2007 when he found himself in Coppull with out anything to do on a Wednesday night. As it wasn't Tuesday it wasn't karaoke! The Blatchleys are Back

Seven Stars is no more. Long live the Orwell

OrwellWith the recent demise of the Seven Stars in Wigan, things looked dire for live folk music on a Thursday night. The breach was quickly filled with Geoff organising a singaround at the Orwell, 50 yards down the road adjacent to Wigan Pier, starts 8.30 and finishes 11.30 every Thursday. Very easy to find, simply follow the signs to Wigan Pier and your there. Joan Blackburn groupies need not worry, she might not be organising it but she has been seen and heard at every Orwell gathering to date - enjoying a back seat for a change.
