Weekend Forecast - its a scorcher
BBC weather is predicting a scorching weekend for the folk festival. Don't forget your sun protection.
Should be the best year yet for the Alison Arms Free Folk Festival. Great lineup for the main stage with the Anthony John Clarke Band, Marie Little and the Houghton Weavers headlining the three evening and Ken Nicol and Jez Lowe at the top of the billing for the afternoon concerts. Every event free and all happen within the confines of a small pub with camping just 50 yards away. The legendary singarounds will go on late into the night after the main event finishes.
Our scouts tell us that Stone the Crows will be raiding the Alison Arms at 8pm on Thursday 7 June. Expect raucous music, wild dancing and the odd bit of violence, but only on other members of this fantastic Morris side from Leyland.
