Venue

The Alison Arms is a small pub on the edge of the village of Coppull on the southern edge of Lancashire. Just a coupleof miles from M6 jct 27 just North of Wigan. The Main Stage for the festival is nestled into the side of the pub in an awning covered area. The accommodates the audience for the most of the events, although in 2006 we did overflow into the car park for one event.

Singarounds  during the day and after the main event happen either in the upstairs function room or in the main bar, or indeed outside and the campsite across the road.

The landlords Karl and Lynee are very welcoming and will be serving food as well drink over the weekend. Although not a real ale pub, there will be a couple of guest beers form the caks for the weekend.

Directions from M6

  • Exit at junction 27 and follow the signs to Standish.
  • After a couple of hundred yards of dual carriage way, left at the T junction.
  • Up the hill to traffic lights, left again on to A49 towards Preston.
  • After a couple of miles you will come up a hill into Coppull.
  • The Alison Arms is on the right round a right hand bend opposite signs to the BMX track.

 

Direction from M61

  • Exit at junction 8 and follow the dual carriageway into Chorley town centre.
  • Follow signs to Coppull on the B5251
  • Follow the road though Coppull to a mini-roundabout on the A49
  • Turn left sign posted Standish and Wigan
  • The Alison Arms is on the left at the top of the hill.
